I did it! I couldn’t stand the hair falling out anymore. Scratch my head, and there’s hair. I was literally sitting at my son’s baseball game and I saw my hair blowing in the wind. Seriously. I put a hat on so I didn’t choke anyone with my flying hair. OK, maybe not that bad, but annoying.
My husband, his co-host and boss shaved their heads first. They wanted to have fun with it and gave each other Dr. Phil haircuts first. Click here to see the FB live video. I wanted to counter, of course.

So we came home from my son’s baseball tournament and I didn’t even want to wait until after dinner. Let’s just get this done and over with. I seriously was hoping I didn’t have a lop-sided head though. I mean, I won’t be able to hide that. My son, Evan, was supposed to shave my head, but chickened out at the last minute. It’s OK. I realize this is emotional, awkward and can be nerve-wrecking. He didn’t want to hurt me. So husband to the rescue! It was perfect having my family there for the big unveil, including my mom.

I was scared of what I would look like, how I would feel after shaving my head. I can tell you now. I FEEL GREAT! Cancer ain’t got shit on me! Up this week is physical therapy, still don’t have full movement in my arms since surgery, especially on the side where they took a lymph node. Plus my weekly labs and a visit with my Oncologist. I’m trying to be better about eating healthy, thanks to a nutritionist, but I go back and forth of feeling nauseous where nothing sounds good, so I’d rather not eat. Just tried overnight oats for the first time, I dig it.
Next week I’ll get the not-so-jello, jello shot in my boobs and the Red Devil again. Only two more Red Devils to go!
As always, check your boobies and schedule your mammies.

Katie, the boys videos cracked us up. It was so much fun watching them have fun and supporting you. You look great, and your attitude is amazing. My Mrs Donna, went through the jello shot expander process too. Kinda wierd but necessary. Praying for you and sending out positive thoughts and mojo on your next red devil treatment. Cancer sux. 💐
Thank you for caring enough to share yourself so that others can try to be as brave & bold as you. Love you to the moon & back <3

Your head has a great shape. I will tell you what I told the boys on their page- in place of gel, sunscreen every day. Don’t count on a cap.
